Film Lighting Hire & Gaffer Hire in Hertfordshire
London Lighting provides professional film lighting hire, lighting equipment hire, production lighting and location lighting across Hertfordshire and the wider UK. We supply experienced gaffers, sparks and lighting technicians — with full lighting equipment and van packages — for music videos, commercials, film, television and branded productions shooting in Herts.
Hertfordshire is the cinematic epicentre of the British film industry, home to Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, Elstree Studios, Sky Studios Elstree and Bovingdon Airfield. Shoots here demand tier-1 lighting standards, rapid pre-rigging and veteran gaffers — exactly what our lighting crew and equipment fleet deliver.
Film Lighting, Equipment & Crew Hire
Film & Production Lighting Hire
We supply high-output daylight punch, soft key sources, pixel-mapped tubes, HMIs and full grip and textiles for Hertfordshire productions — from soundstage pre-rigs at Leavesden to exterior night shoots at Bovingdon. Kit arrives pre-loaded in our vans, ready to rig.
Lighting Equipment Hire
Hire professional lighting equipment from our inventory: Godox F600Bi and Aputure Nova soft lights, Aputure 1200c and 600d/c with 1.2K HMIs, Astera Titan tubes and Aputure MC accents, Kupo stands, double wind-ups, 8x8 and 12x12 frames, magic cloth, silk and ultrabounce. Silent battery power and wireless CRMX DMX control included. Dry-hire or with a gaffer crew.
Gaffer, Spark & Lighting Crew Hire
Engage an experienced gaffer with sparks, best boys and riggers — crew only or with full equipment and transport. Our crew assist incoming productions and soundstage dry-hires with comprehensive pre-rigs, from suspended 20x20 softboxes to perimeter tube runs and motorized DMX dimmer boards.
Location Lighting
Hertfordshire boasts world-famous period drama locations including Hatfield House, Knebworth House and Ashridge Estate. Our gaffers are trained in English Heritage venue protocols — self-standing truss totems, rubber matting and low-heat bi-color LEDs to protect antique paintings and delicate parquet floors.
Music Video & Commercial Lighting
Pixel-mapped tubes, moving heads and haze for music videos, plus precision diffusion and specular control for automotive and luxury commercials shot at Hertfordshire studios and locations.
Lighting Packages
Tailored lighting packages built around your brief — Aputure 1200c keys, soft sources, Astera tubes, full Kupo grip and textiles, silent battery power, all in a single van with a gaffer and spark. Dry-hire also available.
